CfBT Education Trust (CfBT) is a large UK registered charity established 45 years ago providing education services in the UK and internationally. It has an annual turnover exceeding £100 million and employs over 2,700 staff worldwide who support educational reform, teach, advise, research and train. Since CfBT was founded, it has worked in more than 80 countries around the world providing services including teacher and leadership training, curriculum design and school improvement services.
CfBT has built a strong reputation for providing high-quality consultancy and programme management that delivers durable solutions to governments in the Sub-Saharan region and is now looking to appoint an exceptional individual to the role of Regional Director, Sub-Saharan Africa, based in Nairobi. Developing CfBT’s business in the Sub-Saharan Africa Region is a key strategic priority for the organisation and the Regional Director will be responsible for the professional leadership of all regional work.
The successful candidate will bring with them the energy and experience to represent CfBT credibly at the highest levels in business development relationships. Furthermore, the candidate will be knowledgeable on educational issues in developing countries and donor priorities in relation to education and aid effectiveness. Lastly, they will bring experience of leading and managing multi-disciplinary teams and the drive and commercial acumen to grow and diversify CfBT’s work in the region.
